150 Years Marianne Weber

Marianne Weber died at 12th of March 1954 and became 150 years old last year. Therefore we remember this brave woman, woman's right activist and wife of Max Weber. Dr. Romy Brüggemann initiated a reseach of her life, the activities and papers of this remarkable woman with some of her pupils. They visited Oerlinghausen – the place of birth of Marianne Weber, some contemporary witnesses and looked in Lemgo for her traces. In the litarary course Q1 of the Marianne-Weber-Gymnasium they invented fictional letters and diary entries, poems about feministic topics and topics for television transmissions. But not only pupils were creative but also teachers and directors of he school. They made statements about the legacy of her. A book about that topics is in preparation. Ahead of Her Time – Marianne Weber in View of Our Highschool. To the Book.
